Slider

The Slider question type lets respondents pick a value by dragging along a numeric scale. It's useful when you want a precise numeric response within a defined range.

When to Use

  • Measure effort scores (CES) or satisfaction levels on a custom scale.
  • Collect pricing sensitivity data (e.g., "How much would you pay? ₹0 – ₹5000").
  • Gauge likelihood or intensity (e.g., "How likely are you to recommend? 0–100").

Question Settings

  • Min Value: Set the minimum value of the slider range.
  • Max Value: Set the maximum value of the slider range.
  • Step Size: Define the increment between each selectable value (e.g., steps of 5, 10, or 1).
  • Placeholder Text: Customize the helper text shown to respondents.
  • Required: Make the question mandatory.
  • Proceed Button Text: Customize the CTA on this step.
  • Media Upload: Optionally add an image or video above the slider.
  • Layout Design: Choose the visual layout for this question.

Respondent Preview

Respondents see a horizontal slider with the min and max values displayed. They drag the handle to select their answer.

Tip: Use smaller step sizes (1 or 5) for precision, or larger steps (10 or 25) for quick approximate answers.
