Short Text

The Short Text question type is used to collect brief, open-ended responses. It's ideal for collecting city names, designations, short feedback, or identifiers.

When to Use

Choose the Short Text input when:

  • You need a quick, one-line answer
  • The response should be specific but concise
  • You want to allow custom answers not covered in options

Customization Options

You can customize the Short Text field with:

  • Question label and optional description
    • You can use basic formatting options like bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and links within the label and description.
  • Max Characters toggle to set a character limit
  • Placeholder Text to guide the response (e.g., “Type your answer here”)
  • Mandatory toggle to make the field required
  • Custom Proceed Button Text like “Continue” or “Submit”
