Realtime collaboration

Multiple members of the same PollPe workspace can open and edit the same survey at the same time. PollPe autosaves every change to the cloud as you go, so your teammates pick up your edits the next time their builder loads the form.

Who can edit

Access is controlled by workspace roles. The role assigned to each member when they were invited determines whether they can open the builder for a given survey:

  • Owner, Admin, Manager: full edit access across Create, Share, Results, Integrations, and Workflow.
  • Contributor: can create and edit surveys.
  • Analyst: can read responses but not edit the survey.

See the workspace Team page to invite members and assign roles.

How edits sync

The builder uses field-level autosave. As you type a title, add a choice, drop in a question, or toggle a setting, PollPe debounces the change and pushes it to the cloud within about a second. A small cloud indicator near the top of the builder shows when a save is in flight and when everything is synced.

There is no edit lock on a survey. Two teammates can have the same survey open at once, and both can make changes. If both edit the same field within the same window, the last save wins for that field. Edits on different questions or different settings merge naturally because each field syncs on its own.

Scope

Autosave covers the entire builder, so collaborators see each other's work across:

  • Questions, choices, sections, welcome screen, and end screens in the Create tab.
  • Survey settings including quiz/poll mode, display toggles, expiry, and submission limits.
  • Branding and theme.
  • Workflows including triggers, email, and webhook actions.
  • Share settings.

Live response counts

When a respondent submits a new response, the Results tab badge updates in real time for everyone with the survey open. You see a red +1 (or +N) on the Results tab without needing to refresh, and the badge resets the moment you click into Results.

This is the same pipeline that webhooks and email notifications use, so a fresh submission is visible to your team within seconds.

Tips

  • Talk before refactor. If two people are about to rework the same section, agree on who edits and who reviews, since the last save wins per field.
  • Use Preview to review. Open the Preview link in a separate tab to see exactly what your respondents will see while a teammate keeps editing.
  • Limit edit access on live surveys. Once a survey is collecting responses, give read-only access to teammates who only need to watch the results, by inviting them as Analyst.
