Team and roles

Invite people into your workspace and decide what each of them can do. Roles control who can edit surveys, see responses, change billing, and add more teammates.

Inviting teammates needs a paid plan. On the free plan you'll see an Upgrade to add team members prompt instead of the team list.


Invite a teammate

  1. Open Account then Team in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Invite members in the top right.
  3. In the Invite members dialog, enter the Work e-mail and pick a Role from the dropdown. Each role shows a short description so you can compare them in place.
  4. Click Send invite. The invitation lands in their inbox, and the workspace count of seats left updates immediately.

You can invite up to 5 teammates per workspace. You cannot invite your own email address, and the dialog will block it.


Roles

PollPe ships with five roles. The role you pick controls every permission your teammate has across the workspace.

OwnerFull control. Only one Owner per workspace. Can transfer ownership to an Admin.
AdminEverything an Owner can do except transfer ownership. Manages team, billing, integrations, SMTP, and developer settings.
ManagerCreate, edit, and delete surveys, segments, contacts, integrations, and responses. Cannot manage team, billing, SMTP, or workspace settings.
ContributorCreate and edit surveys. Cannot delete surveys, view responses, or change settings.
AnalystRead-only access to responses, plus segment creation and response tagging. Cannot edit surveys.

Roles are fixed in the source. You cannot create a custom role or rename the built-in ones.


Pending invites

Switch to the Invited tab to see invitations you've sent but that haven't been accepted yet. Each row shows the invitee's email, the date you invited them, and the role you assigned.

From the row's overflow menu you can:

  • Resend invite - sends a fresh invitation email to the same address with the same role.
  • Cancel invite - revokes the invitation. The recipient will no longer be able to join through that link.

Change a teammate's role or remove them

In the All Members tab, open the overflow menu next to any teammate (other than yourself and the Owner) to:

  • Turn into [role] - switch them to any other role. The change takes effect immediately.
  • Remove member - revokes their access immediately. Surveys they created stay in the workspace.

You cannot change your own role from this menu.


Transfer ownership

If you're the Owner and you want to hand the workspace off (for example, when leaving the company):

  1. Promote the future owner to Admin first (Transfer ownership only appears for Admins).
  2. Open the menu next to that Admin and click Transfer ownership.
  3. Confirm. You become an Admin and they become the Owner.

There is exactly one Owner per workspace. Make sure you trust the person before transferring.


Tips

  • Use Contributor for freelancers. They can build surveys without seeing responses or changing settings.
  • Use Analyst for stakeholders who only consume results. No edit access, no risk of accidental changes.
  • Manager is the right default for full-time team members who shouldn't touch billing or invite others.
  • Pending invites count toward your seat limit. Cancel stale invites if you're close to the cap.
