How reward pool works

End to end, a reward pool turns a one-time payment into a per-response budget: you set the reward amount, PollPe holds the credits, every qualified response debits the pool, and unused credits come back when the pool closes.

The full flow

1. You configure the pool

On the survey's Share tab, under Manage Rewards Pool, you set:

  • How many responses you are expecting on the survey (do not include paid responses).
  • How many respondents you want to reward, as a Percentage of expected responses or a Fixed Number.
  • A brand for the reward, from Amazon Pay, Zomato, Myntra, Flipkart, Swiggy, or Google Play.
  • The reward value per response, picked from the values that brand supports.

PollPe computes the total: respondents to reward × reward per response. That total becomes the pool size.

2. PollPe holds the credits

At checkout, the total is debited from your PollPe Credits balance. If your credits do not cover the full amount, you top up through the standard payment flow and the rest is added to the pool. The pool then shows in the Manage Rewards Pool tab with its current balance and the total deposited so far, displayed as ₹{balance}/₹{deposited}.

3. Respondents complete the survey

While the pool is Live, every completed response that comes in through a linked source is eligible to be rewarded. PollPe debits the per-response amount from the pool and queues the brand coupon for delivery to the respondent.

4. Respondents receive their coupon

The respondent receives the coupon for the brand you picked, at the value you set. Delivery status moves through Pending to Delivered. Failed deliveries show with a red status in the redemption table so you can follow up.

5. The pool drains until a stop condition fires

A pool keeps paying out until one of these conditions:

  • The pool balance runs out. New respondents can still complete the survey, but they will not be rewarded.
  • You pause the pool. While paused, no new respondents receive rewards.
  • You close the pool. Once closed it cannot be reopened, and the remaining balance is refunded to your PollPe Credits.
  • The survey ends. Any reward credits that were not utilised on the survey are automatically refunded to your PollPe Credits.

What counts as a qualified response

A respondent has to clear two checks to be rewarded:

  • Completed response. Only completed responses are counted. Partial responses are not rewarded. The reward configuration screen states this directly: it asks for the total number of completed responses, including only those who finish the survey.
  • Came in through a linked source. Every source where you share the survey (the default link, social media posts, email invites, store QR codes, and so on) is listed in Link reward pool to sources. You toggle which sources earn rewards. A response that comes through a source you have disabled will not draw from the pool.

By default, the Default Source is rewarded and you can add more. You can not disable the Default Source unless you have at least one other source toggled on.

The pool balance display

The pool card shows two numbers:

  • Remaining balance: what is left to spend on new responses.
  • Total deposited: the full amount you have funded into this pool, including any top-ups.

A pool that has paid out half its budget shows something like ₹500/₹1,000.

The stats grid under the pool tracks:

  • Responses to be rewarded: the count you set when you funded the pool.
  • Reward amount: the per-response amount you set.
  • Claimed: the share of the planned responses that have already been rewarded, as a percentage.
  • Selected reward brand: the brand chosen for this pool.

Pool statuses

A pool has three statuses, visible in the Reward pool status dropdown:

  • Live: the pool is paying out qualified responses as they come in. Going live requires the survey to be published.
  • Paused: the pool is set up and funded but no new respondents are being rewarded. Useful when you want to hold spend without losing the configuration.
  • Closed: the pool is shut down and the remaining balance is refunded to your PollPe Credits. A closed pool cannot be reopened.

What happens when credits are not utilised

PollPe's note at checkout is the rule: if the reward credits for this survey are not fully utilised, they will be automatically refunded to PollPe Credits after the survey ends. You can also trigger this manually by closing the pool. Either way, leftover money does not vanish, it returns to your wallet as PollPe Credits.
