Manage a reward pool

To manage a reward pool, open the survey's Share tab and switch to Manage Rewards Pool. From there you can pause, top up, adjust which sources earn rewards, close the pool, or refund the remaining balance to PollPe Credits.

Open the management view

  1. Open your survey.
  2. Click the Share tab.
  3. In the left panel, click Manage Rewards Pool.

You will see a list of pool cards. Each card shows the pool ID, the remaining balance over the total deposited (₹balance/₹deposited), and the Reward pool status dropdown.

Change the pool status

Open the Reward pool status dropdown on a pool card. There are three options:

  • Live: start paying out qualifying responses. The survey has to be published for this to take effect. A success toast confirms when the pool is live.
  • Paused: stop rewarding new responses without losing the pool's configuration. You can flip back to Live at any time.
  • Closed: shut the pool down permanently and refund the remaining balance to your PollPe Credits.

Closing is a one-way action. You will see a confirmation modal: "Once the reward pool is closed it cannot be reopened. The remaining balance will be refunded to your PollPe Credits." Click Close and Refund Now to confirm, or Cancel to back out.

Top up or adjust the pool

Click Adjust Reward Pool on a pool card. This opens the same configuration screen used at creation, but in edit mode.

What you can change:

  • Add additional responses. The total expected responses field is locked to the original value, but a second input is available where you can add more. The right rail recalculates the cost and shows how much you need to add to reward the extra respondents.
  • Top up credits. The estimated cost of the extra respondents flows into the same checkout, including the Use PollPe Credits option.

What stays fixed on an existing pool:

  • The brand and reward value per response.
  • The respondent eligibility type (Percentage or Fixed Number).

If you need a different brand or a different per-response amount, close the existing pool and create a new one.

Note: The adjustment alert calls this out directly: the new total expected responses will adjust your reward pool size and the estimated cost accordingly.

Change which sources earn rewards

Click Linked sources on a pool card. The Link reward pool to sources dialog opens.

  • Each share source (Default Source, social media campaigns, email invites, store QR codes) appears as a row with a toggle.
  • Toggle a source on to start rewarding completed responses from that source.
  • Toggle a source off to stop rewarding new responses from it. Responses already paid stay paid.
  • The Default Source cannot be disabled if it is the only source toggled on.
  • Click Reset to default to restore the original source list for this pool.

Changes take effect immediately. In-flight respondents who have already submitted their response are unaffected.

What happens to in-flight respondents when you make a change

  • Pausing the pool. New completed responses stop being rewarded. Responses already rewarded keep their coupons.
  • Closing the pool. Same as pausing for new responses. The remaining balance is refunded to your PollPe Credits.
  • Topping up. Already-rewarded responses are not double-paid. New eligible responses draw from the increased balance.
  • Disabling a linked source. Future completed responses from that source are skipped. Past payouts from that source stay.

Refund the remaining balance

You can return unspent credits to your PollPe Credits balance in two ways:

  • Close the pool. This is the standard path. The remaining balance is refunded automatically.
  • Let the survey end. If the reward credits for this survey are not fully utilised, they will be automatically refunded to PollPe Credits after the survey ends.

Refunds go to your PollPe Credits, not to your card or bank. See PollPe Credits for what you can spend credits on after the refund.

Pool history table

Below the active pool, the Reward pool history section lists every credit and debit on the pool: top-ups, refunds, and the running balance. Use this to reconcile what you have spent and what came back.
