Long Text

The Long Text question lets you collect detailed responses in a multiline input field. It’s best suited for feedback, suggestions, open-ended opinions, or descriptive answers.

When to Use​

Use the Long Text input when:

  • You're looking for feedback, elaboration, or storytelling
  • You want respondents to share suggestions or concerns
  • Short answers might not be enough

Customization Options​

You can configure the Long Text field to:

  • Add a question label and optional description
    • You can use basic formatting options like bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and links within the label and description
  • Toggle Mandatory input requirement
  • Set a Max Character Limit (e.g. 500)
  • Add a Placeholder Text to guide responses
  • Customize the Proceed Button Text

Respondent Preview​

Respondents will see a larger text box and can press Shift + Enter to add line breaks while typing.
