Matrix
The Matrix question type lets you evaluate multiple items against the same set of criteria in a structured grid format. Respondents select one answer per row from a shared set of columns.
When to Use
- Compare multiple product features on satisfaction, importance, or frequency.
- Run Likert-scale grids (e.g., Strongly Disagree → Strongly Agree across several statements).
- Collect structured feedback on multiple touchpoints in one question.
Question Settings
- Rows: Add the items you want respondents to evaluate (e.g., "Customer Support", "Product Quality", "Pricing").
- Columns: Define the scale or options (e.g., "Very Satisfied", "Satisfied", "Neutral", "Dissatisfied").
- Required: Make the question mandatory.
- Proceed Button Text: Customize the CTA on this step.
Respondent Preview
Respondents see a grid where each row is an item and each column is a response option. They select one option per row by clicking the corresponding cell.
Note: On mobile devices, the matrix adapts to a stacked card layout for easier interaction. Each row becomes a separate card with the column options listed below.
