Dropdown

The Dropdown question is great when you want users to select a single answer from a list without taking up much screen space. It works especially well on mobile and for long lists.

Dropdown Question Example

When to Use

Use a dropdown when:

  • You want to save space on the form
  • You have a long list of answers (e.g. age range, country, city, etc.)
  • You want to guide users to pick one response only

Customizing the Dropdown Question

When you select "Dropdown" from the content types, you can:

  • Enter your question label and optional description
  • You can use basic formatting options like bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and links within the label and description.
  • Add as many options as needed manually or via Bulk Add
  • Set a placeholder (e.g., "Select your answer")
  • Choose if the question is mandatory
  • Enable additional options like:
    • Randomize: shuffle the options for each user
    • Alphabetical Order
    • Other: allow users to enter a custom response
